This Pre-Apprenticeship Program will support potential entrants to the apprenticeship system who require job readiness skills and trade readiness experience. This program will bridge gaps between the skills people have and the skills employers are seeking.
The program includes academic upgrading to attain the minimum academic requirement for the trade and academic skills required for the successful completion of the trade readiness component.
This Pre-Apprenticeship Marine Technician Project is funded by the Government of Ontario.
This is a fully funded 35-week program which includes a 12-week paid work placement. This program is scheduled to begin March 27, 2017.
Boating Ontario in partnership with Georgian College – Midland Campus will provide each participant with a state of the art learning centre, instruction, textbooks and tools, safety boots, certificates/tickets and value-added educational services.
