Town of Oakville - Bronte Inner and Oakville Harbours
About Town of Oakville - Bronte Inner and Oakville Harbours
Oakville’s extensive Lake Ontario shoreline includes two harbours: Bronte Harbour on Bronte Creek and Oakville Harbouron Sixteen Mile Creek near the downtown core. The harbours are owned by the town and operated by the Parks and Open Space department.
These natural harbours accommodate several hundred sail and power boats as well as recreational facilities. Mooring docks and slips are available for rent on a seasonal basis, and launching ramps are provided in both harbours. Oakville Harbour provides fully serviced finger docks with Mediterranean-type moorings. Charges are based on the running length of the boat.
Harbours staff provide haul-out services, mast stepping and unstepping. Operating, maintenance and capital improvements are funded from fees charged to boaters.
