I am very pleased to announce the completion of the all new Boating Ontario - Human Resources Best Practices manual and web portal. This new and exciting addition to the Boating Ontario list of member services, we know, will be of immediate benefit to each and every one of you. Partnering with the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) this new manual and portal has been specifically designed with Boating Ontario members needs in mind. It provides a fast and efficient resource to assist you with the challenges facing you when dealing with your most important resource, your people! This first edition of the Human Resources Best Practices is now available in hardcopy and an electronic version is available on the Boating Ontario website at www.boatingontario.ca.
The manual contains in-depth information, with Quick Tips and sample case studies. There are many sample human resources forms available in the manual and may be quickly downloaded, copied and customized to suit your marine business specific needs. Each section also has links to other very informative websites, including links to current government legislation and acts.
