Tips for travellers to Lake Huron’s gem
My wife and I have spent 17 years travelling to Lake Huron’s North Channel. Every year we find something to discover, whether it’s new boaters to meet or new bays to explore. And each year brings sunsets and cloud formations that stay to keep us warm over the winter.
We always travel up Georgian Bay and spend a night in Killarney, sometimes making the trek all in one shot and sometimes making stops along the way due to weather. We try to get up to the North Channel quickly for two reasons: first, it is our destination, and second,we can be delayed by weather returning and need a day or two to let the water settle down.
